    Lessons I Learned in 2020

The unexpected happened in the year of the Lord 2020! With COVID19, the world pretty much shut down. I’m not going to regurgitate the events, because we all know what happened and how weird things have been this year. What we all know is that it has tested our resilience, and depending on where you were mentally and emotionally, our responses and reactions varied, which is to be expected. The pandemic found me personally in a space of hope, the year had just began and I had plans in mind for what I hoped to accomplish both personally and in my profession. How you start your day matters. Having a sense of direction in life truly begins with how you manage the day. And how you manage the day begins with one’s attitude. I hope to visit Mt. St. Helens and The Grand Coulee Dam sometime soon. Here are some of the…

I don’t know why it has taken long for me to venture out. It is interesting how we tend to ignore the beauty that surrounds us and look to explore farther. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with desiring to visit the exotic places in different countries, but sometimes when looking for a sense of appreciation of nature, it can be as satisfying to look no farther than what is within immediate proximity. The great Pacific Northwest and particularly Washington State is known for it’s beauty, and during these COVID19 times, I have resolved to explore the beauty around me. One of the first sources that I knew to…

A Favorite: ‘People’ by Jonathan McReynolds

No doubt, “People”, a gospel album by Jonathan McReynolds is one of my favorite in 2020 so far, and I will get straight to the point as to why. It is a Visual Album For those of you who don’t know what a visual album is and why this is a big deal (at least to me), a visual album is when an artist makes a video for each song of the album. The videos are arranged in such a way that they tell a story and provide the full context of the album. Just the amount of effort and intention that one puts into a project and body of…
